Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cadence AI (“Cadence,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website at cadenceai.us and the Cadence AI application (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
- ✓Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) processes your email address, name, and the login method you choose (e.g. Google). We receive a user identifier and basic profile details.
- ✓Content you create. The text prompts you enter, the music and audio you generate, files you upload, project names, lyrics, and edits you make in the studio.
- ✓Payment information. Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number — Stripe handles payment data and shares limited details (plan, status, last four digits) with us to manage your subscription.
- ✓Usage & device data. Log data, approximate location (from IP), browser/device type, and product analytics events (e.g. which features you use), collected via cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your information
- ✓Provide, operate, and improve the Service — including generating and editing music from your prompts.
- ✓Process payments, manage subscriptions, and enforce plan limits.
- ✓Communicate with you about your account, security, and product updates.
- ✓Monitor for abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.
- ✓Understand how the Service is used so we can make it better.
AI processing of your content
To generate and transform music, your prompts — and any audio you upload — are sent to third-party AI model providers that perform generation, stem separation, and related processing on our behalf. We share only what is needed to perform the task you requested. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to identify you to third parties.
Service providers we share with
We share information with vendors that help us run the Service, under agreements that limit their use of it: authentication (Clerk), payments (Stripe), AI generation and audio-processing providers, cloud hosting and file storage/CDN, product analytics, and email delivery. We may also disclose information to comply with the law, enforce our Terms, protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or acquisition. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are essential for the Service to function (such as keeping you signed in) and, where permitted, for analytics that help us understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break parts of the Service.
Data retention
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete a project or your account, we delete or anonymize the associated content within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example, billing records) to comply with the law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage your account from your settings, or contact us at the address below to exercise these rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
We operate from the United States, and your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
